Welcome to HP forums, I see that you are getting no driver installed error.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

  • Have you tried to uninstall the audio drivers from device manager?
  • Did you try to update the drivers either using Windows update or using HP Support Assistant.

HP and Intel are working together to provide a fix at the earliest.

As a workaround, request you open device manager by doing a right-click on the Windows button/menu.

1. Expand "Sound, Video and Game controllers" or under "other devices" in Device manager.

2. To find the audio drivers installed on your computer.

3. Right-click on the audio drivers listed there and uninstall the Intel high definition audio and Realtek audio drivers listed there.

4. Delete the drivers if prompted during the uninstall process.

5. Once done, click on View and select Devices by connection on the Device manager.

6. Expand PCI Express Root complex and right-click on Intel Smart Sound technology Audio controller and uninstall the device.

7. Make sure to delete the driver if prompted during the uninstall process.

8. Once done, click on Action and Scan for hardware changes twice in the device manager.

9. Close device manager.

10. Open Settings from the Windows menu.

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

If the issue persists, follow the below steps:

Let's start off by uninstalling the audio drivers on your PC from device manager:

Right-Click on start button> click device manager> expand sound video and game controllers>then select the sound drivers and right-click on it and uninstall the audio drivers.

Then check the box delete the software for this device.

Now restart the computer and then update the Bios, Chipset and Audio drivers on your PC from our HP support website using this link.

Also, download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.

Once done, restart the computer and then check.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.

Hd Bass Sound driver

Hi:

As you know, there are no W10 audio drivers for that model, so the only suggestion I can offer would be to try the W10 IDT Audio driver from a newer model notebook.   Restart the PC after installing the driver.

No, it still does not work normally. The worst laptop I have ever bought. Audio does not work, fingerprint scanner does not work - and that is all for almost $2000. Will never advice HP to anybody, great mistake.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I have gone through your Post and I would like to help

Does it happen only with Skype?

I suggest you download the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/pl_ot_ob_ds_pd/hpsupportassistant_cc/dt

The HPSA will automatically look for all the best drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows 10 is up to date

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available.

Also check the Microphone functionality using the Voice Recorder

  1. In Windows 10, search for and open Voice Recorder.

    The recorder opens.

    Figure : Voice Recorder window

    Voice Recorder window
  2. Click the microphone icon to start the recording. Then, speak into the microphone.

  3. When finished recording, click Stop Recording in the center of the blue circle.

    Figure : Stop recording

    Stop recording
  4. Right-click Recording, then select Open file location.

    Figure : Open file location

    Open file location

The recording is automatically saved to Sound recordings in your Documents folder.

    Figure : Sound recordings folder

    Sound recordings folder
  5. Double-click the filename of your recording. When the Groove Music app opens, click the Play icon ( ) to listen to the recording.

Let me know how is the recording when using Voice Recorder

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

high pitched noice in my headphones

Dear community,

when using earphones ( Shure SE535-CL) in my Zbook g5, I'm hearing a really annoying high pitched tone. When i play music I think the tone is covered by the music so i don't hear it anymore. But when the music' volume is really low, it's still hearable.

Do you maybe have an idea how to fix this problem?

In other devices, it's not there. So it's not the headphones.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I have gone through your Post and I understand your concerns

Since the issue occurs when using the Notebook speakers, I suggest you run an Audio Diagnostic from UEFI to confirm the Hardware Functionality of the Speakers

- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Audio

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊
