Thanks for replying. May I have the exact model name of the computer? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. I'd suggest you try creating a new user account and check for the functionality -

    1) Tap the Windows icon.

    2) Select Settings.

    3) Tap Accounts.

    4) Select Family & other users.

    5) Tap "Add someone else to this PC."

    6) Select "I don't have this person's sign-in information."

    7) Select "Add a user without a Microsoft account."

    8) Enter a username, type the account's password twice, enter a clue and select Next.

    9) Tap the Windows icon.

    10) Select the User icon at the upper left corner of the Start menu.

    11) Select the new user. You'll then sign into your account with your password from step 8.

Let me know how that pans out.

    Have a great weekend.

Maybe the connector is not completely detached, it could be a bad connection, start with the connector around the screen, it's the easiest to do. Here is a video for replacing the screen, you just need to take out the bezel and verify the connector for the webcam. But be careful not to damage the screen. If you are not comfortable, don't try it.

I have the same problem.  I also own the HP spectre xt ( which is my old laptop that I replaced).  The spectre xt is at least 30% louder.  This Spectre x360 has lower volume than my Iphone.  I have updated my drivers and even reset the system to factory defaults.  I wish they could fix this issue.

    Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD4-B3
    On board audio: Realtek ALC889
Speakers: Logitech LS21 (2 front speakers L/R and a subwolfer... Connected to CPU through one audio cord, the green one)
    OS: Windows 7

The speakers work fine when I plug them into my iPhone and play music. Can change balance from Left to Right and the speakers play music accordingly.

I plug them into my computer and the Right speaker does not work. No sound, and when I do the test with the Realtek HD Audio Manager, it tries to play sound out of the right speaker but gets nothing.

    Thoughts?

A few weeks ago I installed sp77770 to overcome this problem (following another forum link). The problem reoccurred today and I found this thread. Is driver pack sp80538 still the latest one (assuming by its number its later than sp77770) or has this one been superceded? I have run HP support assistant been told there are no updates.

  • I thought you had already tried setting your default audio to Sony TV. Nevertheless you got it shorted out.

The thing you want now is not possible, at least as far as i know. I dont see the reason for it. Two devices playing the same sound...it will echo

There is no post in this thread where the original author stated that she has it sorted out.

The only posts she has made in this community forum are in this thread for a total of four posts.

So what are you talking about?

Is your notebook a 15" version?  You have only partially identified your notebook.

It would be better if you used the ProdID that is in the tiny lettering on the bottom of the notebook.

If your notebook is the 15" version, which would make it a 15-ac153ne notebook, reinstall the Intel chipset driver found at the driver downlaod page the the link below this line.

    https://support.hp.com/emea_middle_east-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-Notebook-PC-series/8499326/model/9788497

Until you know specifically which notebook a member has, kindly do not recommend installation of any drivers or software.   The forum policy to which you agreed was do no harm.

    Hello Friends,

I bought HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-cd0xxx one month ago. I didn’t test the sound that time so not aware if it was working before or not. I can hear sound from a USB headset or HDMI audio out but not from the internal speaker and audio jack.

I tried HP support assistance but no luck.

Tried uninstalling and installing the device manually but no luck.

    Any support will be appreciated.

    Thanks.
