Thanks Raj1788 for your reply

1. Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC? --> No

2. Did you upgrade the operating system from the windows update or from the retail discs?  --> Still using Windows 7 and online update from the windows (not windows 10)

Thank you in advance

No sound through my headphone

So i bought a hp h120 gaming headset recently. It comes with 3 cables one is a usb cable for the leds, one is for the microphone and the other is for the sound. So when i connect the headset to my computer the computer recognizes the headset but no sound comes through the headset but the microphone is working properly. I have tried multiple solutions but none seem to work.I have tried other headsets with single 3.5 mm jack they work perfectly except this one. Thanks in advance.

Audio 'turns on' after a short delay [it is still in sync though]

HI!

Whenever an application triggers audio, it takes my laptop a few seconds to 'turn on' the audio. Once 'turned on' it will work fine and there won't be any delayed activations and the audio 'stays on' for now. If I no longer use any audio for several seconds, it goes back to the 'off' state, whereby it will take several seconds before I hear audio if an application triggers audio. Please note that the audio is fine and is always in sync; there is just a delay whenever audio plays before the audio is actually hearable.

Many thanks in advance!

Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community.

I reviewed the case regarding issues with the audio. I will be delighted to assist you here.

Let me ask you a few questions:

Is it happening only when you watch online?

Any software/hardware changes before this happened?

Follow the steps given below:

First, run the Playing audio troubleshoot - open Start > Settings > Update & security > Troubleshoot
Scroll down, select Playing audio
Click Run the troubleshooter

When complete, restart your computer then check if audio is working again.

Press Windows key + X
Click Device Manager
Expand Sound, video and game controllers

Right click your audio adapter
Click Properties
Click the Driver tab

Is there an option rollback?
If so, click it.

Also, check to make sure the audio driver is fully updated. This is often the problem when you upgrade to a new version of Windows 10. Sometimes reinstalling the latest available driver from the manufacturers website helps.

Open Start, type: change sound card
Hit Enter
Select the Playback
Right click your Speakers
Click Set as Default Device if it isn't already

Select your speakers
Click Properties
Click the Levels tab
Use the slider to adjust level

Keep me posted. :)

B&O dissappeared

Hi! I had my B&O app working just fine, until recently that I got a Realtek High-Definition audio driver update (softpack number: sp92810 Version: 6.0.1.8519) on my HP Support Assistant along with a system BIOS update. I finished installing them and it restarts but now my speakers won't work, my B&O icon disapeared and when I check on my computer's audio settings it just recognizes them Realtek speakers, and when I plug in my earphones it works. I would like to re-install my B&O drive or something and get my speakers working again...

Thank you for your help!

Hi Echo,

The delay happens at every reboot, anytime an audio file is played. I have tried VLC, MPC-HC and Windows Media Player. Same thing with YouTube and any other source. Troubleshooting didn't fix it.

As far as BIOS update there doesn't seem to be one for my version of Windows 10, whic is 1803 (it won't update to 1809 yet through Windows Update). I see BIOS updates available for versions 1709 and 1809.

Thanks!

low audio volume

I have very low audio after i did upgrade my probook to a SSD 500GB hard drive and switch to window 10.

I do have audio but even at 100% volume its very hard to hear the sound before the upgrade the sound was very good and with a high audible volume at 100%.

Are there special drivers requested that aren't  in the windows 10 package?

Thanks for any help,

Michaël.
