I have the exact same issue since September. Restart will fix it for a while, but always returns.

My battery is not removeable, is there a different procedure for me?

Cheers,

Hi,

The Beats gui is provided by the idt software package - I've unpacked the installer linked in my previous post and it does contain the necessary components.  One further option to check is that the Beats sound processing has been enabled - Open windows Control Panel and in the top right, next to View by: select 'Large Icons'.  If the Beats icon shows here, open it and check that it's enabled - if the icon isn't present, try installing the idt package again, then reboot.

At first I want to thank HP for their quick response. After submitting my problem in this forum I received a push message through hp support assistant regarding Conexant ISST Audio driver update. After installing that my problem has been solved. It is really commendable. Thanks again.

Hi,

recently after a software update, my speakers started to buzz randomly whenever i open youtube, get notifications, etc. I already tried change my sound setting in control panel. if im playing a youtube video and the speakers start to buzz, i always change the sound setting in control panel (checked the speaker/hp> properties> advanced> change the default format) and the buzzing noise will stop. but when i try to play another youtube video, the buzzing noise comes back.
please help me with this issue.

Distorted sound/buzzing

Hi,

I am experiencing problems with my speakers. Every time I play anything the sound becomes distorted and there is a small buzz, as if the frequencies/sounds are too much for the speakers to handle. It even happens on system sounds. It started happening about a week to 10 days ago, and I think it was after Windows installed a substantial package of updates. I am also under the impression (although I can't be sure) that it doesn't happen directly when I turn the computer on and play something, but if I am playing something and then a system sound or a sound from another source comes up, that's when the distortion occurs. If I plug my headphones in the sound is great and there are no issues.

All my drivers are up-to-date, I manually installed the latest ones two days ago but that didn't seem to solve the problem. I've also made sure that the sound levels (audio output) are not too high.  Any ideas would be much appreciated, as this is becoming very annoying and I am beginning to wonder whether the speakers are somehow damaged. It's barely been 2 months since I bought this computer, so this is quite upsetting.

Many thanks

So I tried to install your Audio Driver but it failed to install (Once the laptop restarts it says that " the driver isn't the good one for this system (vista) and couldn't install ".

I have no Enhancements possibilities with my speakers so it's not related to that too.

I am having the exact same problem. I just allowed the same update and had it update overnight. When I woke up today, zero audio. None of my audio command keys work on the keyboard and it shows no audio drivers installed.

Product Name: HP Spectre x360 Convertible

Product Number: N1R85UA#ABA

In device manager I have Conexant ISST Audio and Intel Display Audio listed under sound, video and controllers.

Please advise. This is incredibly frustrating.

HP Spectre x360 Sound Stopped Working

Today after installing windows update (synaptics-pointing drawing), my sound has stopped working on my HP Spectre x360.

I tried looking at the drivers but there are no drivers listed. All my sound keys on my keyboard are dead, it's as if there's no sound installed anywhere on the laptop.

My laptop information is as follows:

Product Name: HP Spectre x360 Convertible

Product Number: N1R85UA#ABA

In device manager I have Conexant ISST Audio and Intel Display Audio listed under sound, video and controllers.

I think I saw another user had an update pushed to his laptop, I'm hoping there's a similar easy solution for mine to get it up and running again. Please advise.

Hi,

Try the following.

Download the Conexant HD Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp77501-78000/sp77502.exe

When done, hold down the Windows key and press R

Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.

In Device Manager, expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the Conexant device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.

When complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the following link.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72025.exe

When the Chipset reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

When windows has reloaded, open your Downloads folder, right click on the Conexant installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again and let windows fully load for a few minutes before checking.

Regards,

HP Envy TS 17 Notebook low sound

My HP Envy TS 17 Notebook with Beats audio has always had a very low maximum volume. I have looked at other posts with similar issues and tried those recommendations. I have gone into the Playback Devices properties screen and maxed everything, I have reinstalled drivers, all with no luck. The max volume is extremely low. I am getting very frustrated with this "high quality" audio that this product claimed. Any ideas out there?
