Manu is right.
This is how i updated my firmware.
In windows I downloaded the sp69946.exe update file, I ran in in windows. I got the "No WMI" error message and clicked ok to continue.
After sp69946.exe runs windows will restart. I restarted again after that, but hit the "escape" key to go into boot options menu.
In the boot menu hit "F2" like Manu says, to take you to System Diagnostics.
Select "Firmware Management", then "Bios Update"> "Update Bios"
I went from version F.12 to F.14. If you go through this whole process again it will say "The system's bios ID is F.14
Hope this helps someone! Not sure why it took me so long to figure out (1st time i have ever flashed firmware) on a pc.

I totally get being kind to the CS folks, and readily cop to the fact that a bit of acidity seeped into my original post. It's a fairly new notebook, and the experience certainly is frustrating, but I'm not casting blame. I know each of the companies is doing their best to provide a secure and positive customer experience.
Thanks again for your help.
Hi,
Its a normal thing that we tend to be furious especially your case. By the way have you tried running diagnostic test? If your computer is under warranty and you live within US you could send the computer for repair.

This is a puzzel, have a similiar problem.
You use the Mic and Ground for the Mic and the Left/ Right Ground for the speaker on the to jacks on the left side. If you use a splitter you (we) still may need a four connection mic Jack. I tried two different splitters that killed the audio, however I used a conector similiar to the first and second one from the right for the microphone and the speakers, causes a mismatch on the microphone Kills the speakers. presume that the splitter uses a 4 contact on all connectors. So I presume that the microphone only will needs to have a four contact jack. Hope this helps. I either have to buy a four contact jack and rewire my microphone or find a three contact to 4 contact microphone adapter. Found the connector on Amazon 3.5mm 4 pole connector
Hope this helps
So recently today my laptop has been being weird with sounds, it was doing fine this morning and then it installed the newest windows 10 update and now when I try to watch something the sound will be fine at first then slowly fade out and stop coming through the speakers. It will restart the sound if i pause and push play again but goes right back to doing it. This does not happen with headphones on and it happens with any website, youtube, crunchyroll, yahoo, etc. Is there anyway I can get help I don't want to have to send it in for warranty less than 2 months after buying it T^T

Hello.
Laptop didn't see any external sound capture devices. After driver reinstall, it see all devices but can't capture voice from microphones.
I test standalone microphone and some headphones (with wired and bluetooth connection). Result is same.
Thanks all.

Hi, I own a hp 250 g2 notebook pc and I noticed that the audio has a sync problem when I watch video online in the past few weeks. It starts faster than the video. My product number is F0Y53EA#AB7 and my serial number is 5CB4211KTP. The operating system is Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.
i NEED MY BEATS BACK ON MY HP PC. UPLOADED WINDOWS 10 AND ITS GONE.
Hi All,
My Beats audio is very low sounding and I cannot adjust the volume any higher. It is set at 100% and I can just barely hear it. I reinstalled the Realtek audio driver form the HP website and still the same. Why can't we get the acual Beats driver get actual beats driver for this laptop? I have tried most everything, including going to Best Buy and purchasing external speakers with a sub woofer. I don't think I should have to do this because I am limited on desk space and more wires!!!
I ever tried adjusting the playback settings and still no luck.
Please help me. It is difficult to hear anything on thos laptop.
Thanks,
Mark

This doesn't work for me. The option "Enhancement" is no where to be found :/
