hi, as i write this iam so confused so much that i keep wondering how HP could do such a thing,
my hp envy m6-1225dx windows 8 64-bit and since i bought it i have not being able to use a wired headset while playing my media files, though the external speaker is working perfectly but the earphone when connected does not give out audio output.no changes or formating has being done to it even as i write this.
from the device manager under playback and recording devices the headset refuses to be set as a default device when connected to its jack, this makes the external speaker to remain permanently as a default device, please somebody help me out! i know that something is wrong with the software settings as done during its manufacture cos like the dvd brive for the same system was wrongly installed but luckily for me a friend of mine helped me out and now it is detecting and playing dvd/cd plates. i have tried updating the drive but it is not worhing out
