Ok from my researching I see that a lot of other users have been disabling ACPI, Graphics chips, and/or Wireless Adapters (sometimes just one of those, sometimes a combination of the three or all three) when they are recording or playing back.
What is your situation? Are you using this for work? Are you streaming music wirelessly or playing stored music from your hard drive? Are you doing this mostly on battery power or plugged in?
IF you're streaming music wirelessly on battery power, you could try changing the wireless adapter's advanced power setting.
1. Click Start and Type 'power'
2. Click Power Options
3. Click Change Plan Settings next to the selected Plan
4. Click Change Advanced Power Settings
5. Scroll down to and expand Wireless Adapter Setting and Power Savings Mode
6. Change On Battery and Plugged In to 'Maximum Performance'
7. Click Apply and OK. Restart the computer and test your latency.
This change is kind of self-explanatory. It just makes your wireless adapter work as if it was plugged in, even when it is on battery power. The default setting of Maximum Power Saving, of course, was meant to save your battery life while you don't have the computer plugged in. So you may notice a decreased battery life while you're connected via wireless and don't have the power cord plugged in.
I'm interested to know the results when you get a chance, please :)
