I currently have the HP Beats dv6z-7200 model, and the audio for the first year I've had it has been amazing. However, a growing problem that has become intolerable at this point is that, in the event of running two or more programs that play or record audio, a loud static begins to take over. It refuses to allow me to, for example, play music while being in a Skype call, and if it does play my music, it cancels all audio that Skype would make from notifications. It also mutes any videos from video sharing sites like Tumblr, YouTube, etc., and gives me an error if I play any audio in Windows Media Player. This is a major issue as I tend to want to play people my work through Skype, and even with stereo mix being set as my default audio, the other side continues to notice the ongoing static as well during the few times I manage to play the audio.
I have attempted many things, from clearing out space to turning off program priority to disabling the Beats audio, and have set it so that my laptop does not silence or turn down any audio in a call. i have played with bass and treble levels, but nothing seems to work. Any help at all would be appreciated.
