I am aware that there are many posts on this subject, but none of the solutions I found seemed to resolve my problem. I am running a Windows 8 64-bit HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC and have had it since August 2013. For a long time I used my white JVC headphones to recieve audio until they broke. I got a new pair, and everything worked fine until a couple of weeks ago. I plugged my headphones in as I usually would, opening Youtube to watch a video when I was informed by my friend that he could hear the audio. I turned the volume down, thinking it was perhaps to loud but he still complained about the noise. The only way I can seem to get the audio to play just to the headphones is to kind of bend the wire near where it connects to the laptop, and even then it only plays through the left channel, the right channel is completely dead. I'm pretty sure it's not the headphones, as I have tried 2 other pairs. Also, the ones I am currently using and my others DO work with my phone and iPod. I know the simple answer is to get it repaired but I'm only young, and so my guardian is refusing to pay a lot of money to get what might be causing the problem (e.g Motherboard) repaired. If you know something pelase tell me but please don't get irritated if I don't understand, I don't understand much computer language ^-^' Help would be greatly appreciated.
