Your absolutely right. I had sent the laptop back to HP more than four times. The First three times they sent it back after only reinstalling the OS. Of course the audio problem persisted. The fourth time I asked to speak to one of the repair technicians and explained to him that it only occurred while plugged in and that I didn't understand why they kept only reinstalling the OS after the first return. I explained to him that it had to be a hardware issue. After returning it the fourth time they sent it back stating they had swapped out the audio wire. I assumed it was over heating. Then I had issues with it not booting at all. Anyway they ended up sending me a brand new system. And now I've got the same problem again. I just sent it in again, it has returned and they stated they only reinstalled the OS again and this time it's working perfectly fine. So now I'm a bit confused as to what it could be.
