I understand that you mic is not showing up in sound properties.
Go to device manager and uninstall the IDT audio. Restart the computer.
This will uninstall and reinstall the driver for the audio.
Here is a link to get to device manger.
If uninstalling the driver does not help.
Go to your start screen search services click.
Click settings.
Select services.
Once in the services screen go down to the audio service.
Select audio service and make sure that the startup type is set to automatic.
You may want to stop and restart the service.
Hit ok.
