My new laptop is an Hp Envy 15-j059nr Quad Edition and I've had it for 6 days. Last night I tried out the Netflix app and watched an episode of Walking Dead and noticed a crackling noise in the headphones that I was using. I tried out different headphones hoping I was using faulty ones. However, all headphones still produced the same crackling. So tonight (12/24) I started up netlfix again and tried playing a movie (Hunger Games) out loud, instead of through the headphones hoping to find that it was just an issue with my headphone jack. However, no less than 15 min into the movie I began hearing the same crackling noises. I searched HP forums after failed google searches and found an entry that proposed a solution. I changed the audio settings to the highest setting instead of keeping it on the 2nd from lowest, as suggested. I've noticed a reduced amount of crackling (Frequency wise) however the problem still remains and continues to annoy me. Any help or suggestions? I'd love to avoid sending my brand new christmas present back to HP for a new one!
