I upgraded to 8.1 recently and I'm noticing my sounds stops working.
From Event Logs:
Faulting application name: AUDIODG.EXE, version: 6.3.9600.16384, time stamp: 0x5215dbe8
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.3.9600.16408, time stamp: 0x523d5305
Exception code: 0xc0000005
To fix it, I have to go into device manager to disable/enable the Realtek High Definition Audio sound device.
After this problem began, I installed an update to the Realtek sound drivers, which are not at version 6.0.1.7071.
Any idea how I can troubleshoot this further?
