That is not what I wanted to hear. System recovery is a painful, long process as I have many files and programs installed. Data files are scattered across the disk with some residing in the application programms' subdirectories. Everytime I have done this in the past, it has always resulted in the loss of data or at a minimum comsumes an entire day or two to straighten everything out again. You said that rectifying the problem is a lengthy process. I can't imagine it more difficult than an entire system reload. Can you describe how to do it for me. I would appreciate it.
