Still No Audio. Will SOMEONE respond?

Still no sound. And no help from the experts in 7 days. Tried all the Recovery Manager options.  Tried the "manual" driver update option next.  When looking at the Device Manager, there is no audio device even listed. Kinda hard to manually update a driver when I can't see a device to update!  Reinstalling the Conexant driver through Recovery Manager has never worked.  Reinstalling the nVidia GeForce driver has not restored sound after the first couple of times.

Is anyone out there? I have seen responses to similar posts since mine on Jan 11. Is it something I said?  HELP!

Recently started getting "No Audio Output Device is Installed" error and no sound (obviously). Followed the Device Manager reinstall process for Conexant HD-Audio SmartAMC HD2 driver to no avail. On a whim I also reinstalled nVidia GeForce series video driver and lo and behold I had sound! Each time I hibernate or shut down, I lose sound. The reinstall of the video driver worked a few times. Now the reinstall of either or both drivers fails to restore audio.

Any ideas?
