I may not being using the forum properly, it's new to me, but I'm repling to Aniket Chaulan, who gave me a solution to "very little sound" question. Sorry for returning answer so late. The web site you referred me to did not work for me. As you said you have a HP Pavilion g6 and I don't know what your OS is but the web site was for your computer and I think Windows XP or maybe Vista. I'm running Windows 8.1 and HP did not recommend changing my drivers at that site. But thank you so much for your answer, at least you got back to me with a possible solution.
