If this helps any of the IT folks out there, I thought I'd post an observation for you all. My girlfriend's computer with Beats is doing the same thing, but what we have discovered is that with the wireless adapter disabled, the sound on the computer goes back to working like normal. Once you enable the wireless, however, there's no sound again. I'm guessing a driver conflict or something maybe? Maybe one of you who are more wise than I can use this observation to help solve the issue.
