Rishan,
You might try the following:
Download and Save the Audio driver for your notebook to your Downloads folder:
NOTE: Do not yet install the driver
Control Panel> icon view > Device Manager>
Open Audio inputs and outputs (wording may vary) >
Right Click on Speakers> Properties> Driver> Uninstall>> Tick the box to Delete
After the removal of the device driver is complete:
- Close all programs
- Shut down the notebook avoiding the hybrid boot process: SHIFT and click on Shutdown
When the notebook is completely OFF:
- Disconnect everything (little Unifier for the keyboard / external mouse can stay)
- Perform the Hard Reset for your notebook
Set BIOS Defaults:
- As soon as you power on the notebook, repeatedly click the ESC key to bring up the Startup Menu
- Select F10 to launch the BIOS menu
- Depending on your BIOS, you will click F5orF9 to load the default settings – then use the arrow keys to Select “Yes” and then click “Enter”
- Press F10 to save the Settings – then use the arrow keys to Select “Yes” and click “Enter”
Install the Driver:
- Boot the system and log in.
- Let the system start completely – allow default installation for audio driver
- Open a Windows Explorer / File Explorer window > navigate to your Downloads folder
- Find your Audio installation file
- If you have ‘Admin’ control, you may highlight the package and “double-click” to install it, else Right-Click, Select run as Administrator and install.
- Wait for the installation to complete
Set Speaker / Sound Default:
- Right click on the little Speaker Icon in the TaskBar > Playback Devices >
- Highlight / Left-Click on Speakers and Headphones > Select “Set Default” > OK
Click the KudosStar!
It is a nice way to say “Thank You” for the help.
