Hello to anyone who can help,
Last week I upgraded to Windows 8.1 64-bit operating system. My product ID is 00179-60926-70441-AAOEM. There were no issues upon the switch. Just today, I downloaded an update for my graphics card, and then suddenly I found myself without any sound when I played Youtube videos or when I launched iTunes. When iTunes was launched, a message popped up saying there was an issue with the audio configuration. I went to my search option and typed in "audio configuration" and went to the sound options, and it prompted me saying that something was causing issues with the sound and if I wanted to disable it. When I advanced, it led me to a screen where I could not do anything. I tried uninstalling the update, but that did not help, and then I tried restoring my computer from a restore point that was just before the last update (which I believe was DirectX 11), but that too failed to work. I'm at a loss here, and have no idea how to get my sound back.
If anyone could help, I would be beyond grateful!
Thanks
Derek
