You can run the HP Support Assistant and or MS Fix It to look for updates and help resolve issues. You also have a Windows updater, please ensure you have all your Windows updates done. When I checked for an updated driver for Windows 7 and audio, it only lists upto Vista . Here is a link to the Conexant Drivers Download Center, you can let it auto detect, and look for an updated driver. If there is not one available, you will need to install the old one and run it in compatibility mode.
