When your computer is not connecting/detecting a Bluetooth device properly, I would suggest taking a look at the document 'Fixing Bluetooth Problems'. It does list sever different issues, with different troubleshooting steps. In the document, there is also an option for Fixing Bluetooth Headphones, with several different troubleshooting steps as well.
If you are still experiencing the same issue after troubleshooting, please let me know the current version of Windows that you are running. If you need assistance in finding the version, please follow through the document 'Which Windows operating system am I running?'.
