I see that you are having some issues recording audio. I see that you have tried multiple programs but what about multiple microphones? Do you have your microphone set as the default recording device? What is the product number for your Envy?

I deleted all the Audio Inputs and Outputs (Internal Mic Array, Speakers/HP, and Stereo Mix) to have them reinstalled.Internal mic array is set as recording default and problem still occurs. When I change the default to Stereo mix I can then record whatever is playing from speakers. Not sure if that is normal but it works for the moment.
