I understand that there is little or no sound produced by the computer. I apologize for the delayed response, but I will do my best to assist you! To commence troubleshooting, please try all of the steps in this HP document: No Sound from Speakers (Windows 8)
This document does address issues where the sound is barely audible, as well. Please try the steps and let me know the results.
