I was afraid of that. By all counts, that driver should have worked at least by manually installing it.
Try just browsing to the folder without selecting the specific device as such:
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software method and browse to C:\SWSetup\sp34567. Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.
If not, I don't think the audio is going to work. The is no W7 driver for that chip and clearly we have the best driver there is.
