Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP ENVY Ultrabook 4-1038tx and audio issues with headphones. Make sure you are plugging the headphone into the headphone jack as there are 2 ports on this Notebook. Have you tried to use the headphone in another computer or device? Here is a document on headphone troubleshooting.
