Thank you very much for including all the information in your post! I would suggest following the steps in the document 'No Sound from the Speakers (Windows 7)'. Now some you have already done (ie, Using the Microsoft Troubleshooter), so you will not need to do these steps again.

Now I would like to confirm some other information with you, to hopefully narrow down the cause of the issue.

1. When you do go into Device Manager, does it show any errors, or unknown devices?

2. Are you able to hear sound if you connect headphones/ external speakers?
