Re: HDMI problem

Hi fab1can, welcome to the HP Forums. If you are not getting audio through your TV through HDMI, I suggest you not use headphones during the troubleshooting process. This will reduce the factors you have to consider while trying to resolve it. Once you get sound through your TV speakers, you can try your headphones.

The first thing to do, is to ensure you follow this, and make sure the steps you do are the same:Connecting a Monitor, Projector or TV (Windows 8). One important thing to note, is that you should be using a HDMI to HDMI cable, with no adapters on either end. This means, a DVI cable with HDMI adapters at the end will not transfer sound.
