Tried what you suggested
when I open that icon up I see
Speakers/headphone not plugged in
Digital output s/pdit a green circle with a check mark there are also horizontal lines to the far right that appear to lite up if I play a song but no sound
Hope you know how much I appreciate your help, like a lot of people, I know very little of what make a device I use everyday work -
