I installed the Profound Sound Csharp trial and another program called DPS. I like the way DPS installs to the system, but in my trial, it did not perform as well as Profound Sound Csharp. I intend to test it again as I did not fully try all options. I have to say, however, the Profound Sound really rocks with Beats Audio, especiall when the tablet is disconnected from the keyboard. That's how I found out the sound while using headphones attached to the keyboard is half what it is when headphones are attached to the tablet. This is an issue I hadn't seen yet in the forums. I am still hoping that HP will release a decent update to the driver. On another note, my trip down to the Microsoft store was really interesting. I am not at all impressed with Micrsoft's version of the Genious Bar. They refused to acknowledge that I knew more about the sound issue than they did. They kept telling me that there was no problem with the sound, that the sound level for this laptop was "normal". I pointed out that my phone could play sound louder than the Envy, but this did not change their tune. I wonder what they would say if I went back and let them listen to it now that Profound Sound is on it. I don't expect to go back to them for help in any other issue that may come up, I find the user forums much better.
