Hi All,
I purchased a HP ENVY M6-1310sa with Beats Audio only a matter of days ago. The OS is Windows 8.
The notebook features the HP "Triple Bass Reflex Subwoofer" which initally worked but then just stopped.
I searched for others who had a similar problem on this forum, and the HP recommended remedy it seems is to turn off the machine, remove the battery, replace it and turn the machine on in order to correct this.
However, I experienced something very different;
After the above action, The IDT audio driver seemed to vanish, the Beats Audio software vanished, and the system didn't register any apeakers at all!
I have tried to reinstall the IDT driver using HP Recovery Manager, but now the sound driver in the control panel reads "speakers" instead if "IDT" as it did before.
Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have a remedy for my predicament?
Any help/ advice/ guidance is greatly appreciated!!!
