Problem with the speakers of my laptop

I have a problem with my hp pavilion dv4-1551dx with windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. I wanted to watch on my tv a video i have in my laptop, so I got 3.5mm cable with RCA male endings for the audio and an adapter from vga to RCA for the video.

I plugged the video cable and everything was fine, but then I connected the audio cable to the tv RCA input, and then when i connected the cable to de 3.5mm jack of my laptop, I'm not sure what happened exactly, but I think it was a short-circuit because when i plugged it, it made a spark on the 3.5mm jack and the audio cable started to burn and make smoke, so I unplugged the cable from the computer quickly and apparently everything was fine, my computer was still working, so started to watch the video on my laptop, but after a couple hours, the speakers of my laptop started to make a weird sound, i don't know how to explain the sound it makes, but is a never-ending sound, even if I put the volume to zero the laptop still makes the sound and don't reproduce any other sound, even if I plug my earphones, the speakers keep making the sound and the earphones too.

hope someone knows what's wrong and if i can fix it or not. Thanks.
