So, about a month ago, I started having an issue with my laptop. Sometimes the speakers wouldn't work so I would restart the system and they would work again, for a while. If i stopped the sound for a period of more than 5 minutes, the speakers would stop working again.

Re: HP Envy - Audio problem- Sudden stop of audio

I regret ever buying my HP Envy x360. I am constantly having performance problems and I have only had it since September 2016. I have had to fix the audio problem several times, as it will work for a short time and cut off. This time, it won't correct at all.

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. Smiley Happy I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP 10 G2. I read that there is no audio from the tablet and also no audio using the headphones. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.

I suggest you to perform a Factory Reset on Your Tablet. But this will make all the data get wiped out.

You may also try to update the Android operating system via this HP link.

I hope this helps. Keep me posted. Cheers!

Stuttering/Glitching Audio While Streaming TV

While streaming Netlfix in Google Chrome, the audio would glitch for less than a second.  It's kind of like a choppy sound.  It has been happening for a while, but recently it has gotten worse.  It's gotten to the point where it pauses the video and lasts for longer than a second; it sounds like a helicopter kind of.  This glitch doesn't happen when I watch videos saved on my hard drive through the windows media player.  I've already tried different browsers; nothing has worked.

I have an HP Notebook operating on Windows 10.

I haven't done anything to change or update the software or drivers other than the normal windows updates when I restart the laptop.

My internet connection is wireless.

I don't know how a whole lot about computers and drivers, but I do know that I have Realtek for the auido.

If someone has found a solution or anything that will work, I'd really appreciate it.  I don't think it's a hardware problem; I feel as if it's a software problem.  If anyone could provide step-by-step procedures (as I don't know too much) that would be extremely helpful!

Have you tried to use lower resolution videos ? From my tests on my network: videos with 720p down and a bit lower bit rates will perfectly play on my TV. The result is verry choppy and missing here and there when playing 1080p videos.

Now my plan is to connect from media server to TV using LAN cable but I still have to work out how to run cables thru the wall. I may try LAN over power line instead.

Regards.

So the software to my audio driver (beats audio) has been completely uninstalled and I've tried to install the driver back but it just keeps saying error and I have no idea what else I can do. I have tried even restarting the computer but it doesn't let me reset it for some reason. Please help.

I don't want to erase my personal files though.

A hard reset doesn't erase files. It causes the BIOS to re-detect hardware.

Audio stops random on HP Envy 15-aq015nd

Since the last update of Windows, 15-6-2017, my audio stops working at irregular moments. I've discovered that when this happens, the "grafiekisolatie voor windows-apparaten" (dutch for graphic islolation for windows devices) is consuming al lot of CPU. Ending this proces restores my audio device and audio.

I've updated my bios to version F.27 and reinstalled the Connexant audio driver from the HP site.

How can ik resolve this issue?

HP Pavilion audio crackle

Hi,

I purchased a HP Pavilion 15-au150sa yesterday, and I noticed that the sound themes sound crackly. When I listen to music or watch a video the audio is perfect, but any time I get a notification, the sound has an undercurrent of crackle.

Any suggestions to resolve this would be appreciated.

Kind Regards

Chris

I have the exact same issue! Audio cable plugged in to the dock equals crappy audio. Audio cable plugged in to the headphone out on the laptop while in the dock equals good sounding audio. I have uninstalled and re-installed the audio driver twice, updated the firmware on the dock, changed every setting I could find in the Bang&Olufsen control panel and still no good.

I have a Dell laptop and dock and and the audio is just fine coming through the dock. A Google search reveled that this seems to a long standing issue with HP docks. I really wish HP would correct this issue.

If anyone has any advice, other then updating drivers, firmware and Bios as this has all been done, please chime in as this seems like a very simple feature that should work seamlessly but not so much...
