@Dvortex
Thanks for the suggestion. When I went to "Sound, video, and game controllers", it was already set as "High Definitino Audio Device" (The IDT driver is gone because I tried installing it from the website, only to have the installation say it wasn't compatable and abort AFTER having overwritten the present broken driver). Just to be safe I followed your steps anyways and it appeared to help slightly, but the speakers are still nowhere near their previous volume when the Beat Sound software was present before the recent Windows Update. I'm still boggled by how the Windows Update completely got rid of the Beat Software :/
Sorry if I haven't replied for a very long time, but I manage to solve it by repairing it in the repair shop. Thanks for your reply.
Oh yeah btw my model is HP ENVY dv6-7215tx Notebook PC.
@banhien
Hello,
I installed the driver from the given link after uninstalling and deleting old driver's file.
Unfortunately, It worked for some 5-10 mins and the sound went again.
The subwoofer on my Pavilion (currently running Linux Mint) is not making any sound; the other speakers (pin 0x1b) seem to work just fine. I've tried to use HDA-Analyzer (from the Alsa project) and HDA-Jack-Retask to override and determine which pins matter. What I need to know is which pin
In case it's useful, I started another thread here when I was running Arch, thinking that it was a distro-specific bug or something. My soundcard is a Realtek ALC295 and the solution referenced in this related post doesn't work.

To clarify, the words quoted by you - "so I've been meaning to wipe it clean", is this already done or are you planning to do it now?
If you haven't completed that yet, you might as well use the recovery partition and reinstall the OS as it would fix all the issues including getting the beats software back, remember, it only works when you reset using the recovery manager.
CLICK HERE FOR MORE STEPS AND INSTRUCTIONS.
And something the Windows updates may create these issues, however, the next set of updates/patches resolve them as well, so If you've already wiped out the device, simply install all available Windows updates and it should be taken care off.
Let me know how that pans out
I hope you have a good day ahead,

Hi
Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you need to reboot your computer twice for the sound to work.
This issue could occur if the drivers are not updated.
However, I see that you downgraded your operating system to Windows 7.
This laptop was originally shipped with Windows 8 operating system. Hence, you may need to roll back to Windows 8 as the drivers are available only for Windows 8 and 8.1.
Also, let us know from where you downloaded the Windows 7 operating system on your computer.
You have a good day ahead.
Hi,
Can you post back with the full Model No. and Product No. of your notebook - you can usually get this by holding down the fn key and pressing esc, otherwise see Here for a guide on locating this information.

Hey i just installed new window 7 ultimate and im having trouble with headphones. they are plugged in but speaker are working and headphones not.. i ve tried few methods like updating the driver or search for the solution but no help.. Pls HElp..
Thank you so much, this worked perfectly!
When I watch youtube videos on google chrome, the audio keeps getting slowed down, like I can hear their voices coming out as waves on the laptop instead of just regular sounds coming out of the laptop when I'm at a different screen. I also have a problem when I scroll down websites or youtube as well, it pauses on google chrome, and takes a long time for me to be able to scroll again. I do not want to use internet explorer. I have tried firefox, but I prefer google chrome. I thought that this laptop will be fast and reliable, but I am dissappointed that it has caused me problems compared to my last laptop. The only reason I upgraded was because my previous laptop was getting old and slowing down.

Hi, thank you for your help! After deinstalling the AMD Audio Device, I went to the link you provided and downloaded a new Audio Device, but there was not the AMD one. However, I updated bios. and after that the Sound was working again. Now, unfortunately, the sound isn't working anymore! I have no clue what could have happend - my Notebook was just in Sleep-Mode in between.
If you have any other ideas what I could do, that would be great!

I understand that you are facing issues with your HP Notebook wherein the sound gets low.
This issue could occur if the drivers are not updated.
Let's go through a few steps that may help to fix this issue.
I suggest that you update the audio drivers from the link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Hi
I recommend you to perform a system restore on the computer and check.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
Help me please! One clever person disconnects the built-in microphone, and after that I can not connect it back. Installed new sound drivers several times, while checking the system writes that everything is fine. For example, in Skype, I hear a sound, but nobody hears me. When checking the recording devices, it is indicated that no sound devices have been installed.
